Beyond Hitchin - Hitchin Swimming Club plays a strong role within Hertfordshire ASA supporting swimming across the country and ensuring that our viewpoint is heard. Lee Portingale has coached the Hertfordshire Country Team and Tina Lander, one of our senior coaches, is the Hertfordshire Team County Manager. Gary Robb manages all the entries and scoring for county promoted events - such as the Country Championships and Development Meeting. Grant Chivers, our Chair, often announces at county events and is about to become the treasurer for Hertfordshire ASA. Jean Cook, a life member of Hitchin Swimming Club, is the current president of ASA London.

We have a number of qualified officials in the club who work hard at both our own galas and others. These include: Grant Chivers (timekeeper), Kevin Cotton (timekeeper and judge), Nick Malpeli (timekeeper), Mark Lander (timekeeper, judge), Gary Robb (timekeeper).

We believe that playing our part in developing swimming beyond Hitchin is an important part of meeting our aims.
