Hello everyone and I hope the first week of school went without too much pain. Welcome to the second newsletter.

Club news

Session changes – as mentioned last week, Monday’s morning session moves to 06:30 at Hitchin.

Congratulations to Lee on finishing the 10½ mile open water swim at Windermere last weekend.

Coach Clinic – as part of the club’s commitment to communicate better with parents, we are introducing a coach’s clinic. This will be from 19:30 – 20:00 each Sunday at Hitchin Swimming Centre. This is a set time when Lee will be available to meet parents and discuss any questions or concerns you have. During this time we will have at least one other coach available to continue coaching the swimmers, and hence the session will not be disrupted. 

We will run the clinic for 4 weeks initially starting on 16^th September – we will then see how it is going and makes any changes we need to.

Of course, parents and swimmers can talk to Lee before or after any other sessions – the clinic is a specific time when we know Lee will be available.

AGM and Awards for the Club Championships – this will be held at Letchworth Swimming Centre on 27^th October. The AGM and presentations will start at 18:30 following by a pool party at 20:30. All swimmers, parents and families are invited.
